Jason and Elizabeth have a Liasion

By Garrett Godwin

The story between Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Elizabeth Spencer (Rebecca Herbst ) is more than a good girl meets bad boy with a heart of gold.  It is a story about two people from different worlds who become friends and fall in love.  And no matter what-- or who -- gets in their way, these two always find a way back to where they belong: each other.

The summer of 2006 is the summer of Liason once again.  After seven years, Jason and Elizabeth become closer than ever before.

The week of August 14 on General Hospital was a good week because of Liason.  It is everything their fans have always wanted: Jason and Elizabeth together.  The scenes between Burton and Herbst are wonderful, truly bringing their characters to life onscreen.  I enjoy watching them as much as any Liason fan.

However, as much as I love watching Jason and Elizabeth spend the night together, I love watching them spend the day together even more.  Their day would have been quite exciting had it consisted of them playing a game of pool, going motorcycle riding, or spending the rest of the day with Elizabeth's son, Cameron, at Vista Point. Despite not getting to see this, I still loved every minute of Liason that week.  Like Jason and Elizabeth, I have no regrets.

Burton and Herbst have such amazing onscreen chemistry, the writers and producers at GH would be crazy not to put them together. I feel that Jason and Elizabeth have potential to become a supercouple because their story is about true friendship, true love and true romance.  Even though they’ve never said "I love you", you can tell Jason and Elizabeth truly love one another by seeing how much they mean to one another and the way they look at each other.

If you missed this week's episodes or want to see them again, you can catch them on SOAPnet today starting at 2pm.  Watch Jason and Elizabeth on General Hospital weekdays on ABC and weeknights on SOAPnet.
