TV Shows and the Real World

TV Shows and the Real World

By Sarah Schwarz

('DiggThis')

Have you ever wondered why there is not any TV shows out there about things that really happen in peoples lives?

The shows where the boy and girl fall in love and everything is great from then on. Come on, now we all know that is not how it goes. It is ok to watch shows like that sometimes do not get me wrong, but don't you think we need some shows about things that actually happen in the world.

Like the war, abusive homes, violence in school, what it really does to kids, how to deal with things, what really happens when you get pregnant when you are fourteen years old.

I love TV and I am watching it all the time, but I see these shows with these great families with the funny mom, dad, and kids who get away with anything they want to. Hardly anybody’s home life is really like that. It would be great if it was but it is not.

I think we all wish we had a funny dad and mom and things were great all the time and we got the boy we wanted and he came and threw rocks at our window. However, that is not reality.

Even the reality shows are edited, cut whatever you want to call it. Some of it is actually practiced before it is shot, aired...I guess we have to work for the reality business to really see if what goes on is what really is going on...
