By Garrett Godwin

Hello, there!

This is Garrett Godwin, and I`m here to tell you What`s On Tonight!

On CBS at 8pm is the season premiere of NCIS.  When we last saw Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team, newly promoted Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) split them up.  But don`t expect them to go the same route as House did last season, as the show`s sixth season starts with Gibbs trying to bring the family back together.

And speaking of House, tonight`s all-new episode, also at 8pm, finds the crank medical sleuth (Hugh Laurie) hiring a private investigator (Michael Weston, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) to keep tabs on not only his team, but also Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard).  There have been talks over the few months of a House spin-off centering on this P.I., so let`s see what happens on this episode.

Next at 9pm on CBS is Simon Baker`s return to television as The Mentalist.  In his first series since The Guardian (2001-04), the Australian heartthrob is Patrick Jane, fake psychic turned real detective -- sort of like Psych`s Shawn Spencer, only the former has admitted he`s not really a psychic.  Jane now works as a private consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on cases that no one can solve but him.

Then on NBC at 10pm is the season premiere of Law & Order: SVU.  Starting its tenth season, One Tree Hill`s Michaela McManus is the new ADA, replacing Diane Neal`s Casey Novak, who left in May after five years.  Special guest stars for this season starts tonight with original 90210 bad boy Luke Perry, new Big Bang Theory regular Sara Gilbert (Roseanne), and Days of Our Lives` Mary Beth Evans.

And that is What`s On Tonight!, so thanks for joining me.  But don`t forget to check out Judyth Piazza on The American Perspective, along with Hot Copy with Del Marbrook -- right here at the SOP

I`m Garrett Godwin, and I have to Go Now once again, so I`ll see you later.
