Month of Love with Free Range Studio

Month of Love with Free Range Studio

By SOP newswire

February, the month of love, is upon us.  Let’s hope it brings good things your way.  To celebrate this auspicious month, the Free Range Studio has invited Raleigh jeweler, Betty McKim to sell her beautiful work.  Also, we will have a wide variety of work new work by Carrie Knowles as well as the return of Australian artist, Susan Buret’s collage works.  If you haven’t seen them, this is the last time they’ll be shown before they fly back to Brisbane, Australia, so please stop by.  You won’t want to miss them.

Speaking of Australia, the last of the Australian shows has arrived and will be up for a preview this Friday.   This time we have the pleasure of the mixed collage work of Clare Llewelyn.  These delightful abstract pieces explore space, place and memory.  Clare will be here at the March opening to talk about her work.  Mark your calendar.  We’ll do something special to celebrate this wonderful artist and her work.  Anyone up for another Australian Wine tasting?

And, also, just for fun there will be a mini Valentine making workshop.  For $5 you can create your own valentine using either a vintage handkerchief or a more traditional card.  All supplies included.  Just bring your imagination.

The Free Range Studio is located at 410 Morson Street.  Morson is a one-block street that runs between Bloodworth and East and is parallel to New Bern and Hargett.  If you have questions or need directions, please call: 821-3478.
