Date From Hell: Dude Skips Out On Restaurant Bill And Steals Date's Car

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Terrance Dejuan McCoy, 23, met his 27-year-old date at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Ferndale, Mich., according to The Daily Tribune.

At the end of dinner, McCoy -- who told the woman his name was `Chris` -- allegedly said he left his wallet in her car and went to get it.

`She gave him her keys and he went out the door,` Ferndale Police Det.-Sgt. Patrick Jones told the Michigan-based paper.

`From where she was sitting, she saw him get in her car and he drove off at a high rate of speed.`"

We all have first date horror stories, but this one takes the cake, and the car. I once brought a woman home, and the next day I discovered that a crystal clock was missing.

The woman wasn`t mentioned by name in the Toronto Sun article, or in any of the other articles that I read about this unusual crime. The hapless lady has suffered enough pain and humiliation to last a lifetime, I hope that the press has pity on her and doesn`t publish her name.

It`s bad enough that the cad skipped on paying the restaurant bill, but then he steals her car. This woman is going to need therapy to get over this traumatic experience. Unfortunately, I don`t think she can afford a psychiatrist -- her stolen car was a 2000 Chevrolet Impala.

The victim wasn`t particularly bright, she should never have handed her car keys to a guy she barely knew. But the thief wasn`t very bright himself, the cops identified him by a photograph that he sent to the woman`s cell phone, and his phone number.

Con artists have a lot of nerve, I wouldn`t be surprised if this dude uses his one phone call to ask the woman to bail him out of jail.
