Miracle Toddler Survives 30-Feet Fall Onto Rocks

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A 23-month-old boy appeared to have escaped without major injuries after falling from a third-story window at an apartment complex in Antioch Sunday, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District captain.

The incident was reported at about 11:45 a.m. at the Lakeshore Apartments complex located at 600 Wilbur Ave., Fire Captain Charles Thomas said.

The boy apparently climbed up on a chair and then onto a table directly under a window. He then pressed against a window screen that gave way, causing the boy to fall about 25 feet into a bed of rocks, according to Antioch police Lt. Scott Willerford."

I`m not insinuating that the parents were negligent, but a toddler needs to be constantly monitored. Toddlers have a gift for placing themselves in danger, and unlike cats they don`t have nine lives.

This tough baby fell survived a 30 feet fall into a bed of rocks, I think this qualifies as a miracle.

The little boy suffered some abrasions on his stomach and a bruise on his head, but he doesn`t have any major injuries.

The parents won`t be charges with child endangerment or any other crime, it was simply an accident. The window didn`t have any locks, police recommend that people who live in a highrise put locks on all their windows.
