"The Colombian soccer team didn`t make the World Cup, but the country`s police made a great save to intercept a replica tournament trophy made entirely out of cocaine.
Columbia authorities seized the 14-inch replica trophy bound for Madrid at Bogota Airport Saturday, CNN reported.
The painstakingly engraved statue was painted gold with green stripes on the base to match the real trophy. It was bound, along with several team jerseys packed in the box, for an address in Madrid when it was intercepted in a warehouse inside the airport."
Maybe if the winners received a trophy made out of cocaine, the Brazilian team would have been motivated to play better and they would have qualified for the World Cup.
The smugglers were idiots to make a World Cup out of cocaine, they should have chosen an object that was less conspicuous. A box containing vuvuzelas made out of cocaine would have been perfect, these days everyone is blowing on a vuvuzela. Who wouldn`t love to take a toot out of a vuvuzela made out of coke?
If anyone thinks that the Columbian authorities are going to flush the cocaine down the toilet, I have a vuvuzela made out of pure gold that I would love to sell them.
