A Liason Romance in Italy - Chapter Eleven

By Garrett Godwin

Chapter Eleven

Jason and Elizabeth go upstairs with Cassie to her studio, where Elizabeth's potential as an artist is put to the test.  They make a right and enter the studio that has very humble beginnings.  Cassie, along with Jason and Elizabeth, go inside.  The studio has several paintings by Cassie that are vivid and beautiful.  Elizabeth is truly impressed with her work.

"I can't believe it," she amazes.  "You paint all of them?"

"And then some," Cassie smiles.

"They're incredible.  No, more than incredible.  They are brilliant."

"Art is more than imitating life, Elizabeth.  It is about life right now."

Elizabeth takes a look at another painting by Cassie, which leaves her surprised.

"Jason, come here for a minute," she says.

"Yeah, what is it?," Jason says.

"Is this you?"

"Yeah.  That is how and Cassie and I first met.  She was watching me while painting.  I asked her what she was doing, and told me that she was experiencing life.  Cassie then told me that there was great sadness within me because she knew what was going on with me-- and what was in my heart."

"And when this tall, dark, and handsome man told me about himself and the woman who has a hold on him and his heart", Cassie said approaching them, "What can I say?  I fell in love with him as much as you fell in love with him.  After all, this is Italy."

Cassie then chuckles.

"Hey, be careful, huh?" Elizabeth laughs.  "He's with me.  You got a problem with that?"

"If I don't have a problem, then Jason doesn't have a problem either."

"Why are you putting me into this?" Jason smiles.

"Because you're the reason we have met, and you're the reason that we're here, I'm here, and you're here with me," Elizabeth says as she kisses Jason.

"So are you ready to prove that you're a true artist, Elizabeth Webber?" Cassie said.

"Yes, I am," Elizabeth says.

"Good, then let's begin."

"Jason, are you going to be okay?"

"I'll be fine," Jason responds.  "This is what you want to do, right?"

"Of course."

"Yes, besides," Cassie says, "Jason won't be bored.  There is a pool table in the next room where my son Terry is, along with a television set.  He'll be fine, darling."

"Okay," Elizabeth says.  "Goodbye."

"No," Jason says. "See you later."

Jason and Elizabeth share another romantic kiss.

"All right, lovebirds," Cassie interrupts, "That's enough.  Now, let's go, shall, Miss Webber?"

"Let's," Elizabeth says.

As Elizabeth and Cassie get a blank canvas, brushes, and colors to paint, Jason begins to exit the studio to the next room for pool.

"Jason?" Elizabeth says.  "I love you."

"I love you, Elizabeth."

Always and forever, Elizabeth thought, as she began to paint.
