Tina Fey Voted Associated Press Entertainer Of The Year
The female celebrities who are fawned over by the media are 20-something bimbos like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. Once these airheads reach the age of 30, the press will stop covering their every escapade, and they will find some up-and-coming starlets to fawn over.
I would be a hypocrite if I didn`t admit that the antics of these pop divas have provided fodder for countless articles, but I have a journalistic responsibility to cover all aspects of pop culture.
When I`m at Blockbuster searching for a movie to watch, I eschew the offerings of Hilton and Lohan, and I usually select a film by a respected actor like Tina Fey or Angelina Jolie.
"Tina Fey (born Elizabeth Stamatina Fey; May 18, 1970) is an American writer, comedian, actress, and producer. She has won five Emmys, a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award."
Fey`s not conventionally beautiful, but I find her good looks coupled with her obvious intelligence irresistible. If she asked me to buy her a book or rob a bank, I would immediately comply with her wishes.
"Tina Fey is the entertainer of the year? You betcha. Fey was voted The Associated Press` Entertainer of the Year, an annual honor chosen by newspaper editors and broadcast producers across the country.
Fey was selected by AP members as the performer who had the greatest impact on culture and entertainment in 2008."
The Associated Press
Fey richly deserves this honor, her impersonation of Sarah Palin is spot on and her show "30 Rock" is must see TV.
Of the three bimbos mentioned in the first paragraph of this article, only Lindsay Lohan has the potential to one day be considered for this prestigious award. If Lohan would only devote as much time working on her craft, as she does deciding what pair of panties not to wear, she might one day be blessed with commercial and critical success.
