Should A Brooklyn Subway Station Be Named After The King Of Pop?

By Robert Paul Reyes

Should a New York City subway station be named after Michael Jackson, the King of Pop and greatest entertainer in history?

Some folks might be thinking: Why should a subway station be named after Jackson?

The fans of the King of Pop would be thrilled if every public building in the world was named after their idol, but that might make things a bit confusing.

It`s the station where the pop superstar filmed his iconic "Bad" video, that his fans want renamed in his honor. That makes a lot of sense, and I don`t see why anybody would be opposed to the idea.

The station is currently named "Hoyt-Schermerhorn", who the hell can pronounce or spell that tongue-twisting name? Meet me at the "Michael Jackson" station sounds a lot better than let`s rendezvous at the Hoyt, Schermermhorner-whateva station.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has declined to name the station after Michael Jackson. Today is the birthday of the King of Pop, and his fans should protest at the Hoyt-Shermemamerhorner-whateva station.
