I currently am studying Creative Writing at the University of Texas at El Paso. In my spare time, I enjoy sitting back, watching movies and television, reading authors that inspire, and writing stories that I hope one day will entertain others. I have a tendency to read a lot of Clive Barker, Stephen King, and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I have an ambition to become a known author. I'm not too interested in the money, fame, or big-name status; I just want my voice heard and understood.

Pain and TV Programming - There is a thin but ever-present similarity between pain killer addiction and sitcom watching.

Addicts of Time - Culture throughout the world is the same in the aspect of being addicted to the past and future.

The Demon Inside Me Carries the Burden - People live through their rough patches in life, but sometimes they use it as a crutch. When it is gone, they have no one to blame but themselves and the present.

Pages from the Diary of: Darryl Thompson - In my searches to find vintage first edition bestsellers in the used bookstores in town, I came across a wide collection of diaries. This is my interpretation of his thoughts leading up to his last days.

A Necessary Piece to the Puzzle? - Is the old saying true? ‘It’s better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all?’ Who is to know for sure?
