Curfew is Unjust: Time for Protection of Fundamental Rights of Kashmiris

By SOP newswire2

J&K National Panthers Party filed a petition in the Supreme Court of India against the continued curfew in the Kashmir Valley causing horrendous problems to the people for the past 80 days just for the purpose to protect the present government which has lost its credibility and acceptability among the people.

Prof. Bhim Singh who filed the petition has sought relief for the patients, daily wagers, school and college going students whose educational career has been directly affected because of continuous curfew imposed by the government.

The Panthers Party has prayed the Supreme Court to issue direction to the Governor of J&K being Constitutional Head as well as to the Government of J&K to keep all hospitals and clinics out of the curfew domain besides providing security and protection to the school and college going students so that they may attend their studies instead of pelting stones.

The petition has urged urgent intervention of the Supreme Court as the Union of India as well as the State Government has utterly failed discharge of their duties their duties to provide protection to fundamental rights of life and liberty to every citizen including the citizens residing in J&K.
