ESMT Invests in Growth Founders Extend Financial Support

ESMT invests in growth Founders extend financial support ESMT President Lars-Hendrik Röller renews contract.

ESMT European School of Management and Technology continues to invest in its development as an international business school based in Germany. ESMT`s founders will support this expansion in general with additional funding of 50 million EUR. President Lars-Hendrik Röller will serve a second five-year term.

In total, ESMT has acquired in general over 70 million EUR of new financial support since 2009. In addition, six chaired professorships have been funded. This will enable ESMT to continue on its course as a leading international business school based in Germany by strengthening its research, teaching, and executive education.

"ESMT has been on a path of successful expansion for some years, therefore we have agreed to pursue the next challenges with a reinforced mandate to Lars-Hendrik Röller," said Michael Diekmann, Chairman of the Board of Management, Allianz SE, and Chairman of the ESMT Foundation Board of Trustees. "The founders of ESMT, representing a major part of German industry, will support ESMT`s growth with additional funds, acknowledging the progress of the school and its prospects," said Dr. Josef Ackermann, Chairman of the Board of Management Deutsche Bank AG and Vice Chairman of the ESMT Foundation Board of Trustees.

ESMT European School of Management and Technology was founded in October 2002 by 25 leading global companies and institutions. The international business school offers Full-time MBA and Executive MBA programs, as well as executive education in the form of open enrollment and customized programs.
