Janet Napolitano: Most Hated Woman In America?
Throughout this great "democracy" passengers are in an uproar over the invasive screening procedures at the nation`s airports. Before we board a plane we have to empty our pockets, take off our shoes, and allow a TSA goon to grope us.
A few politicians are in tune with the outrage of their constituents, and they have introduced legislation to ban the enhanced pat-downs that amount to sexual assault.
But Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano vehemently defends the TSA`s Gestapo tactics. Since Napolitano has no respect for the privacy of US citizens, the press should afford her no privacy. I urge the tabloids to out Napolitano as a lesbian; they should follow her every time she leaves her home. Following Napolitano may not be a glamorous assignment like covering Britney Spears, but we should give her a taste of the violation of privacy that we endure every time we fly.
This isn`t an attack against lesbians; I`m a liberal who has been advocating for decades for same-sex marriage and other civil rights for gays and lesbians. Napolitano argues that law-abiding Americans have nothing to hide, and should submit to the enhanced pat-down procedure. What`s good for the goose is good for the gander; Napolitano should stop hiding, and come out of the closet!
Napolitano should volunteer to undergo an enhanced pat-down while cameras roll, if it`s no big deal there is no reason why she shouldn`t comply.
This is one of those crucial junctures in history when our democracy is at stake. How will you respond at this moment when our freedom and liberty are at stake? Will you meekly submit to being groped, or will you fight back?
