Tony Bennett To Collab With Amy Winehouse! Dear God, Why?
"Tony Bennett may have begun his career more than 60 years ago, but the octogenarian legend hasn`t let time keep his style from evolving.
The New York Post reports that Bennett is gearing up for a duet with soul sensation Amy Winehouse, whom Bennett claims is a big fan of his work.
Bennett confirmed, saying, `We`re working on partnering up to record a duet together, but it`s still in the works.`"
Tony Bennett is a popular and critically praised recording artist, concert performer, and painter. Bennett is the consummate entertainer, he is the epitome of style, elegance and class. When I listen to a Tony Bennett CD I feel like sipping a glass of champagne and dining on caviar, unfortunately I have a beer and hamburgers budget.
Amy Winehouse is a critically praised recording artist, but when she performs in public she usually forgets the lyrics to her own songs, and stumbles on the stage as if she were drunk or high. The troubled singer is the antithesis of style, elegance and class. When I listen to one of her records I feel like guzzling a beer, and munching on Doritos and Ding Dongs.
A Winehouse/Bennett collaboration is as disturbing as the mass death of birds that we`ve been hearing about so much recently.
If Bennett goes ahead with the collaboration with the crazy chanteuse he will be tarnishing his sterling reputation.
