"A MYSTERY illness striking down men after sex could be occurring because they are allergic to THEMSELVES, say scientists.
Blokes who come down with flu-like symptoms after an orgasm are probably suffering an allergic reaction to their own semen, according to Dutch researchers.
Men with the condition - known as post orgasmic illness syndrome or POIS - usually suffer from symptoms including fever, runny nose, extreme fatigue and burning eyes.
They come on straight after climax and can last up to a week."

I`m not a rocket scientist, psychologist or sex therapist, but it seems to me that this is a psychological disorder, and not a medical condition.
If this mystery illness strikes only married dudes after they have sex with a mistress or a prostitute, then it could be attributed to psychosomatic symptoms triggered by guilt. But there are also married men who suffer from POIS after they have sex with their wives, so there`s a small possibility it might be a genuine affliction.
But whether it`s all in the head or not, a typical dude won`t stop having sex even if boils erupted all over his body immediately after climax.
There is a cure for POIS: It involves repeated exposure to small but gradually increasing amounts of the allergen (semen) over several years to build up resistance. Well at least the medicine is free.
