Only Fools Believe Life Is Like A Box Of Chocolates...

By Robert Paul Reyes

"The line from a movie that best describes the life philosophy of Americans is from `Forrest Gump,` a U.S. survey indicates.

The DDB Life Style Study asked Americans what movie line best describes their life philosophy and 26 percent chose /Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you`re going to get.`" UPI

This survey proves that Americans are an optimistic (read: stupid) people - it`s impossible for anybody with a modicum of intelligence to be optimistic about the human condition.

Only a moron would recite such a patently false proverb. I`ve said "life is like a box of chocolates "", but what hipster doesn`t spew idiotic statements with a sense of irony?

I`m a chocoholic and I love every piece of chocolate in a box of chocolates, but even folks who aren`t enamored of chocolate like most of the goodies in a box of chocolates. This saying implies that life is for the most part a bowl of cherries, with just a few unpleasant moments.

The line that best describes life is, "Life is a bi***, and then you die." It`s not surprising that this line has been uttered countless times in movies.

Life would be like a box of chocolates only if most of the pieces were crap dipped in chocolate.
