TheSOP.org Launches The SOP Network: The First Citizen Reporters Network Channel
For almost a decade, TheSOP has been a cutting edge news organization with the goal to provide novice writers, student journalists, amateur broadcasters and unpublished authors the opportunity to showcase their talents while practicing ethical journalism and broadcasting in a professional environment that mirrors all major media outlets worldwide.
Before the term, citizen journalist hit the mainstream; www.TheSOP.org understood the value of the student/citizen reporters they had assembled worldwide. They were ambitious, educated, and they have been dominating the blogosphere since it all began. Thesop.org provides a platform in which writers and broadcasters are able to create content have it reviewed and critiqued by their colleagues as well as proven media professionals to be published in the real world. TheSOP strives to be a high quality news provider that follows stories from around the globe and also serves as an outlet for journalists worldwide to file stories from anywhere on the planet.
TheSOP.org not only helps people become better writers, it also helps to build the leaders of our future. The SOP was one of the first sites to publish and produce online radio content under the same guidelines and standards as traditional media outlets.
Now TheSOP.org is proud to present The SOP Network! If there is a story to be covered we will have a Citizen Journalist there to cover it. Rather than huge satellite trucks and bulky cameras, today`s journalists have broken free from those bonds and arm themselves with IPhone and iPads.
Over the past decade, long before CNN`s I report and Scripps Howard`s Your Hub was around and well before Apple`s iTunes and podcasts first reared their head on the web, Judyth Piazza and TheSOP were had already paved the way for the rest of the world to follow.
The SOP Network will showcase news reports, political commentary, music videos, performances, short films, comedy and much much more.
If you think you have what it takes to be a Citizen Journalist, please email us at theSOPNetwork@gmail.com to get started right away.
