The Bachelorette's Ashley Hebert:: Once is Enough!

By Paulette Cohn

The new Bachelorette Ashley Hebert was eliminated on last season`s The Bachelor when she couldn`t tell Brad Womack she loved him. Now, having just finished filming her season of The Bachelorette, she tells reporters she doesn`t know how Brad went through the experience twice.  Once was enough for her!

"There wasn`t ever a moment where I wanted to give it all up because I knew how great of an experience it was," she says. "There were hard moments where I thought, `Did I make the right decision? Am I strong enough to do this?`  But overall, I knew I wanted to push through."

Meeting the 25 guys for the first time, Ashley admits that she had no expectations, but as the guys emerged from the limos one-by-one, she was blown away by how gorgeous they were to her.

"What I realized is ... I just wanted a good man. Somebody who is loyal and a family man, and, I think, as time went on there were more things that I saw in the guys that I wanted. Most importantly what I realized is that I want someone that makes me feel good and makes me feel like a women ... makes me feel like I am able to be vulnerable."

What she also came to understand was that Brad and she weren`t the best fit.

"I definitely see a lot of things in these men that I think are better suited for me, my personality and my lifestyle," she says. "So, yes, I definitely realized that Brad was probably not the right guy for me."

As for dental school, Ashley is a few months behind with her requirements -- which she will make up now -- but she technically graduated last week.

So did she find true love?

The 26-year-old from Madawaska, ME turns coy when asked whether or not she found "the one."  She only says, "I will say I`m happy with the ways things turned out for me, but you have to tune in and see everything -- the roller coaster."

The Bachelorette premieres tonight at 9 p.m. on ABC -- when Ashley gets her second chance at love.
