Mitt Romney: The Phoniest Politician In American History

By Robert Paul Reyes

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney isn`t running for president to advance a political ideology, his only imperative is to become the next president of the United States.

Romney is a chameleon, he changes his color to suit his audience. He is a political contortionist who will bend over backwards and sideways to please the crowd he is addressing at the moment.

When Romney ran against liberal icon Ted Kennedy for the Massachusetts senate seat in 1994, he ran to the left of Kennedy. Now that the Tea Party ideology is all the rage in the Republican party he is running as a social conservative.

Romney will attend a Tea Party Express event in Concord on Sunday, and he will be met by protests from Tea Party activists. Say what you will about the Tea Party, but they are true believers and they can spot a phony a mile away.

Romney is anathema to the Tea Party, he is wasting his time and damaging his reputation by attempting to curry favor with them. My advice to Romney would be "just be yourself", but nobody, perhaps not even Romney, knows what the real Romney is like.
