Heroes Rescue Little Pooch From Raw Sewage

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Wisconsin sewer operator said he and a police officer fished a small white dog out of raw sewage at the Westby sewage plant.

Operator Eric Miller said he called police when he spotted the dog wandering the area Thursday and the two scrambled to rescue the pooch when it jumped in the sewage treatment area."

I bet the little white pooch was no longer white when he was fished out of the raw sewage.

It`s the stories about miscreants abusing dogs and cats that make the news; it`s wonderful to read an article about heroes who were willing to jump into raw sewage to rescue a little doggie.

The sewer operator and the cop went far and above the call of duty, I commend them for their compassion and mercy. The heroes even gave the pooch a bath and took him to the animal pound.

The mutt, dubbed Angelina, is available for adoption at the Vernon County Humane Society
