Snow Magic Needs Life-Saving Surgery

Snow Magic Needs Life-Saving Surgery

By Ernest Dempsey

One of the rarest big cats of its kind, Snow Magic is a ten years old male snow tiger living at the Serenity Springs Wildlife Center in Colorado. He moved into this sanctuary for big cats three years ago. After spending a year here, he developed aneurysm of spine.

Things have gotten worse for him over the past two years since his condition resulted in dislocation and serious damage to a joint in his left hind leg. Now Snow Magic needs urgent surgery to live on, or else be euthanized.

In case of surgery, that will cost $10, 000, Snow Magic will undergo amputation of the affected leg and surgical treatment of the spine condition. But he can carry on and be counted as one of the 17 members of his species in the world.

The Serenity Springs Wildlife Center has given a call for help in donation and/or material and labor to help save Snow Magic`s life. Donations can be made via the donation pageof the sanctuary.
