"A goat slated to stand watch at a Christmas Eve nativity scene in Fergus Fall, Minn., broke free and headed for greener holiday pastures."

Throughout recorded history goats have been sacrificed to appease angry deities, even today goats aren`t safe from religious fanatics.

Nepal`s state-run airline has confirmed that it sacrificed two goats to appease a Hindu god, following technical problems with one of its aircraft ... From the BBC.

Muslims, Hindus, Jews, and countless sects have been guilty of sacrificing goats. Is it any wonder that the goat in Minnesota didn`t want anything to do with a religious ceremony, even if Christians don`t sacrifice animals?

The three-year-old black and curly Angora goat got the hell out of Dodge, and he hasn`t been seen since. The goat`s owner, Jim Aakre is devastated, but it serves him right. Aakre should have shown a little respect for his goat, and not used him as a prop for a nativity scene.

I hope the runaway goat will be found by a person who loves and respects animals.
