Sarah Palin Endorses Newt Gingrich (Sort Of)
"If I had to vote in South Carolina, in order to keep this thing going I`d vote for Newt and I would want this to continue. More debates, more vetting of candidates because we know the mistake made in our country four years ago was having a candidate that was not vetted, to the degree that he should have been so that we knew what his associations and his pals represented and what went into his thinking, the shaping of who our president today is."
Sarah Palin on the Sean Hannity Show
Not exactly a ringing endorsement from Sarah Palin, but a surging Newt Gingrich is hoping Palin`s quasi-endorsement will help him win South Carolina.
Palin would be happy with either Gingrich or Santorum winning the Republican presidential nomination, she is doing all she can to derail the Romney Express. The former half-term governor of Alaska knows that the moderate Romney wouldn`t offer her a prominent position in his administration if he`s the next President of the United States.
Palin is spot on, it would be a mistake for a candidate who hasn`t been properly vetted to assume the most important job in the world. America dodged a bullet when Sen. John McCain chose the unknown, unqualified and unvetted Palin as his running mate.
Palin was too busy staring at Russia from her front porch, to read any newspapers or magazines. If McCain had beat Obama, America would have been one McCain heart attack away from calamity.
But the two frontrunners Romney and McCain have been in the public eye for decades, and they have been thoroughly vetted.
Palin may wish for the GOP nomination process to go on for months, but most Americans are sick and tired of the Republican traveling circus/reality show.
