World Gone Mad: Obama Eats Dogs, Kim Kardashian & LiLo Attend WH Correspondents' Dinner!

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Once upon a time, the White House Correspondents` Dinner was a fairly reserved, clubby affair - the "nerd prom" is how attendees in Washington described it, often with an ironic smirk.

Blame it on Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian. The presence of a drug-addled tabloid queen and a reality show princess - both invitees of Fox News - gave Saturday`s event a circus sideshow feel that even President Barack Obama couldn`t ignore."

Montreal Gazette

The White House Correspondents` Dinner may at one time been a classy affair, but this year it officially went to the dogs, in more ways than one.

President Obama himself and the evening`s host, Jimmy Kimmel, cracked jokes about Obama`s penchant for eating dogs when he was a child in Indonesia.

But the biggest jokes of the evening were Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan who were invited to the dinner by Fox News. It should come as no surprise that Fox News was responsible for turning the affair into a freak show.

I can`t think of any reason why Kim Kardashian was invited to the White House Correspondents` Dinner, she doesn`t know geopolitics from mascara. I guess the pop tart was invited in case they ran short of tables, they could have used her rear end to seat a party of twenty, with plenty of room to spare.

I imagine Lindsay Lohan was invited in case Sean Hannity, or Greta Van Susteren needed to borrow some cocaine. Just a joke, please don`t threaten to sue me Fox News.

We live in an insane world: The Leader of the Free World has a history of eating dog meat, grasshoppers and snakes; bimbos like Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian are invited to an exclusive dinner for politicians and reporters, and Mitt Romney goes speeding down the highway with his faithful pooch tied to the roof of his station wagon.

Where`s Lindsay Lohan when you need her? I could use some cocaine!
