Dude Pulls Fire Alarm During 'The Avengers'! Upset Movie Was Closed Captioned!
"Authorities in Maryland said a man allegedly pulled a fire alarm because he was angry at the closed captioning at a showing of `The Avengers.`"
I can empathize with the man, whose name wasn`t released by authorities, it`s an outrage that the movie was closed captioned for the benefit of the hearing impaired.
When I pay a small fortune for a ticket to a movie, and popcorn and a drink, I don`t want my cinematic experience to be ruined by captions.
A film is supposed to recreate reality or take you to a different world and make you forget that you are sitting in a theater, captions remind you "this is only a movie."
A hundred people shouldn`t be inconvenienced, because there might be one or two deaf people in the audience.
Enough is enough! To hell with this political-correctness tomfoolery!
