BATTFEST Turns into a Multi-Media Global Event
Back in the days of Woodstock, few would have probably imagined that the event would go down in history, and that they could have told their children and grandchildren, that they were there! Since then many festivals have gone on to become legendary in their own right.
BATTFEST could possibly be the next such an event, a ground-breaking festival that gives new and emerging talent a global stage with an expected listening and viewing audience of over 1 million people!
On this week`s show we talk to some of the bands playing at Battfest near Brighton in the UK on July 7th/8th, and play some of their music, and ask the question WHY they were all queuing up to play at the event organised by singer/songwriter Sam Batt.
What started last year as a small one day event, has turned into a multi-media global event that is making the whole music industry take notice. (www.facebook.com/battfest)
Ross `The Hammer` Hemsworth has his own TV chat show in England, together with a global radio show and was one of the pioneers of online broadcasting setting up his first Internet radio station back in 2004. He has been in the broadcasting business for many years and has appeared in many popular TV shows including Ghost Detectives, Now THAT`S Weird and Haunted Halloween Live, and was BBC trained for radio.
Hammer says he has worked in almost every radio slot except breakfast `cause that`s just too damn early!" He recently hit the top spot in the TOP 5 SUPERJOCKS on American radio industry website www.radiojox.com and that`s not bad for a Brit! He has a big following in the USA and Canada through his global shows, plus a big social network following so in 2012, he wants to take America by storm and has been looking to relocate to the States to find a permanent home for his show.
So watch out folks - you`re about to be hit by The Hammer!!
