Obama Punching Bag Should Not Have Been Removed From Indiana County Fair

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A punching bag showing President Obama as a boxer with a black eye has been pulled from a Republican Party tent at an Indiana county fair.

The Muncie Star Press reports there were complaints from some people, including a Republican state House candidate, who attended the Delaware County Fair about the punching bag, which had been on display for part of this week."

The Obama punching bag is in bad taste and disrespectful of the President of the United States, but it`s protected free speech. It`s in a county fair where you will find fried Twinkies, middle-aged guys wearing tank tops, rigged games, and many other things of dubious values -- it fits right in.

Nobody should get their panties in a twist over a harmless punching bag, in fact the Obama punching bag could be interpreted as homage to our resilient president. No matter how many times Obama is unfairly criticized by the Republicans, it doesn`t faze him.

I say bring back the Obama punching bag, let frustrated citizens take out their frustrations on the unique toy. In fact, the organizer of the fair should put up a Mitt Romney punching bag as well.

The Obama punching bag is available for sale on the Internet, be prepared to shell out between $15 to $20.
