Hotel Replaces Gideon Bibles With 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'! Smart Move Or Satan's Handiwork?

By Robert Paul Reyes

The Damson Dene Hotel in England, has replaced the Gideon Bible in each room with the bestseller "Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L. James.

For those of you who have been living in a cave the last few months, and haven`t heard of the book here`s a brief description by Wikipedia.

"Fifty Shades of Grey is a 2011 erotic novel by British author E. L. James. Set largely in Seattle, it is the first installment in a trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, sadism/masochism."

Think of this mighty tome as Slutty in Seattle.

Most couples who check into motels or hotels don`t spend their time in their rooms reading the Bible, praying, and pondering spiritual matters. They go there to get their freak on, and an erotic bestseller tends to put someone in the mood more than Holy Scriptures.

Hotels and porn go together, but if a church replaced the Bibles in the pews with pornographic literature -- now that would be a real news.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a huge hit with women, but men prefer to watch adult movies. I don`t think that any dude who checks into The Damson Dene Hotel will read it, but he might use it to spank his girlfriend/wife on the butt.

The decision by this hotel in England to replace Bibles with an erotic novel doesn`t portend the End of the World. It`s simply a smart decision by the owner of a hotel to cash in on a fad, and that`s been going on forever.
