Mom Vents On Facebook About 'Hooker' Clothes For Young Girls

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Swedish clothes outlet`s line of fashions for younger girls is being scrutinized after an online comment calling them `hooker-like` went viral.

Malin Stehn, a children`s author from southern Sweden, posted on the Facebook page of high-end clothing company Lindex that she was disappointed when she visited the store with her 9-year-old daughter.

Stehn said she took offense to clothing items including low-cut tops and tight shirts."

I hear parents complain all the time that that by the time girls reach middle school they have mastered the art of dressing like hookers. They mutter that the world is going to hell in a hand basket; they shrug their arms, and go back to watching the antics of Snooki on MTV.

Parents should care more about instilling proper values in their children, than in trying to be cool parents who will let their daughters were the latest fashion trends, even if they make them look like midget prostitutes.

Malin didn`t just sigh and say "what can you do?" when she walked in to a department store, and saw that it featured tight skirts, and low-cut tops for very young girls.

Malin did something about it; she vented online and referred to the young girls clothing line as "clothes for hookers". Within minutes her comments received thousands of "likes" on Facebook.

Use the power of the Internet and social media in particular, to express your views. You don`t have to be a patsy, stand up for what you believe in. Hopefully this Swedish clothing line will be shamed into making clothing that is age appropriate for little girls.
