Times Square Miracle: Zombie Finds Disaster The Cat! Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"It took a zombie to find Disaster at the Crossroads of the World.

Two years after he disappeared from his Long Island home, Disaster the cat was found this week in the heart of Manhattan -- by a Times Square haunted house promoter dressed up as a zombie.

Jeremy Zelkowitz, who sells tickets for the Times Scare haunted house, spotted Disaster early Saturday morning crossing 42nd Street. He snatched up Disaster, a black and white cat who appeared to be well-kept and neat, and brought him to a nearby animal hospital. "

At the animal hospital Disaster was scanned for a microchip, and they discovered his owner, New York Police Officer Jimmy Helliesen.

Helliesen is truly one of New York`s Finest, he has adopted many stray cats, and he thought he would never see Disaster again when she fled through an open window two years ago.

The Times Square of the 70`s was a hellhole of sexual deviancy and criminality, but today`s Time Square is family-friendly, and even the zombies take care of stray cats.

New York is a terrific town, proven by the fact that even zombies and cops are very cat-friendly.

Moral of this story: Microchip your cat! New York City is a great place to live!
