The Obama Administration Sinking In Scandal and Corruption
"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."
Proverbs 16:18 King James Version
As night follows day, and spring follows winter, the next step after being all puffed up with hubris is falling flat on your face.
Obama`s slogan for 2008 and to a lesser extent for 2012 was "hope and change", but his modus operandi as President of the United States has been pride and disdain.
Obama was was too proud to release his original birth certificate in a timely fashion. Even if we give Obama the benefit of the doubt that he was born in Hawaii, he should have immediately released his original birth certificate to prove that he was constitutionally eligible to be president. Obama finally released his birth certificate, but the media whose default mode should be skepticism, took his word that it was authentic without demanding that it be examined by document experts.
Obama should have immediately confessed that the US diplomatic mission in Benghazi was attacked by Islamic terrorists. But Obama who strutted like a peacock when he announced that he had killed bin Laden, was too proud to admit that al Qaeda was still a viable threat to America.
Obama should have immediately fired Eric Holder when the AP scandal broke out, but the president is too arrogant to admit that he made a horrible mistake when he appointed the incompetent and morally suspect Holder as Attorney General of the United States.
Heads should have rolled when Obama discovered the IRS, which should be an independent agency, targeted conservative groups for special scrutiny. But Obama is too proud to concede that corruption is seething in the IRS.
Pride goeth before destruction, and now Obama is being compared to Richard Nixon. Even Chris Matthews, who famously felt a tingle going up his leg all the way to his groin, when he heard Obama speak, is now chastising his former idol.
The Obama administration is neck-deep in scandal and corruption, and even members of his own party aren`t coming to his defense. Obama was too proud to befriend and solicit the help of Congress, he disdained Republicans and Democrats alike, and now he can`t find a friend in his time of need.
