Wildlife Officer Uses Donuts To Trap Bear: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Pennsylvania wildlife officer used doughnuts to lure a black bear into a trap after he showed up at the Mt. Odin Golf Course in Greensburg, Pa., police said."

Golfers are used to certain hazards on the golf course, namely sand bunkers and pools of water. But no golfer should be expected to play through when there`s a bear on the course.

Golf is a game for gentlemen, therefore shooting at the bear isn`t par for the course. A Wildlife officer took just the right approach in trapping the furry interloper. The officer used donuts to lure the black bear into a trap; I guess the fried sugary treats work on bears as well as they do on cops and Homer Simpson.

The young bear will be taken to state game land and released, where sadly he will discover that donuts don`t grow on trees.
