Stevie Wonder To Boycott Florida Over George Zimmerman Verdict! Boycott Wonder? Video!

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Florida fans of Stevie Wonder who want to see the legend sing are going to have to go on a road trip for the near future. During a performance in Quebec City, Canada, on Sunday, the Grammy-winning performer spoke out about the recent acquittal of George Zimmerman and announced he would boycott the state.

`I decided today that until the `Stand Your Ground` law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," he told the audience. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world."

NBC News

Stevie Wonder was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, the Motown legend has sold gazillions of albums, and the songs he has written will be performed for decades to come.

But Wonder is  a moron for offering his thoughts on the George Zimmerman verdict. Wonder`s infectious music and his life-affirming lyrics bring people of all ethnicities and political ideologies together.

Any time an artist waxes political he causes division and strife. Wonder should let the lyrics of his terrific songs do all the talking, and not get involved in controversial issues. We attend Wonder`s concerts to forget about the problems of the world for a couple of hours; we don`t need any lectures from the soul legend.

I wouldn`t be surprised if thousands will boycott Stevie Wonder for his comments regarding the "Stand Your Ground" laws and the George Zimmerman verdict.

Stevie Wonder should sing, not preach!
