Kidnapping Victim Hannah Anderson Reunited With Dad & Cat: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Kidnapping victim Hannah Anderson was reunited with her cat Saturday following her rescue in Idaho.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the 16-year-old had brought her cat with her to Idaho after being kidnapped by 40-year-old James DiMaggio.

The four people who encountered the pair on horseback said they found it odd that Hannah was carrying a cat with her, the Statesman reported."

When the four horseback riders encountered Hannah and her kidnapper in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness they were surprised she was carrying a house cat with her.

A cat`s presence is like catnip to the wild animals in the wilderness, it could have attracted any number of predators.

Hannah has been reunited with her father, and he will help her grieve and cope with the horrible news that her mother and her younger brother were murdered by her kidnapper. It wasn`t until she was rescued by the FBI and other law enforcement officials that she learned about the murder of her loved ones.

When I first learned that Hannah had her cat with her in the wilderness, I was afraid that her pet would be lost, never to be found again.

Thank goodness that Hannah has been reunited with her furry friend, cats make wonderful therapy animals.

With her father by her side, and her cat in her lap, Hannah can begin the long journey to healing and recovery.
