Pizza Hut Reinstates Manager Fired After Refusing to Open Thanksgiving

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Shortly after a manager announced he was fired for refusing to open on Thanksgiving Day, Pizza Hut is offering him his job back.

Tony Rohr has worked at the franchise in Elkhart, Indiana, for more than 10 years.

When he refused to open on Thanksgiving Day this year, he says, he was told to write a letter of resignation.

Instead, he wrote one explaining why the store should remain closed."

A pizza is the antithesis of a Thanksgiving meal. It takes hours to prepare a Thanksgiving feast, and besides the main dish, there are dozens of sides and desserts. A Thanksgiving meal is enjoyed with family and friends, and even Fido and Fluffy get a piece of the action.

A pizza is usually eaten by you, in front of the TV, with no sides or desserts. It`s anathema, communist, and downright evil for a pizza joint to open on Thanksgiving. It`s an affront to goodness, love and everything that`s decent in the world for Pizza Hut to open their doors on Thanksgiving.

Kudos to Tony Rohr for fighting evil and corporate greed by refusing to open on Thanksgiving. Tony did the right thing, and he gets to keep his job.

Tony is a scholar, gentleman, patriot and he embodies the spirit that`s made America the greatest nation in the world.
