Outrage: Couple Booted From Malls For Wearing Christmas Costumes!
"A Tennessee couple is saying that they got kicked out of not one, but two, Nashville-area malls on Black Friday because their festive Christmas costumes were viewed as competition for the mall`s respective Santas.
David and Bette Carter say they`ve been dressing in holiday costumes for 10 years now in an effort to spread holiday cheer, and the response they`ve gotten is usually quite favorable."
This story doesn`t prove that there`s a war on Christmas, but it certainly proves there`s a war on common sense.
I usually display my festive spirit by wearing a Christmas sweater, but I admire folks who go all out and were Christmas costumes.
The general managers of the malls that kicked David and Bette Carter to the curb, have the same mindset as the folks who denied lodging to the very pregnant Virgin Mary.
Christmas isn`t about malls raking in money offering parents an opportunity to have their children pose with Santa, it`s about spreading goodwill, and that`s exactly what the Carters were doing.
