Charlie Brown Xmas Special Clobbers X-Factor Finale in Ratings: Video
"Simon Cowell`s X Factor came to an ignominious end on Thursday night. The battered series not only finished third in its time slot, it drew fewer viewers than a rerun of `Charlie Brown Christmas.`
`A Charlie Brown Christmas` first aired on CBS in 1965. It`s been on TV every year since then. Last night the ABC special pulled 6.41 million total viewers vs. X Factor with 6.22 million."
Good Grief! Even the round-headed kid Charlie Brown gets more respect and better ratings than the "X Factor."
If Charlie Brown, Linus, Peppermint Patty and the rest of the Peanuts gang entered the X-Factor competition singing "Christmas Time is Here" they would probably win the competition.
Nobody cares who won the X Factor, and nobody except the winner`s family will remember her two days from now.
I doubt if "X Factor" will be back next season, and hopefully Simon Cowell will sulk in his mansion in England for the rest of his life.
With the exception of "The Voice", amateur singing competition programs are tired and played out. Thank goodness the Peanuts gang has killed off the "X Factor."
