Drunk Woman, 22, Uninjured After Being Run Over While Asleep on Tracks

By Robert Paul Reyes

"An Alabama woman was unhurt after being run over by a train on Wednesday. That is not a typo.

According to Auburn police, 22-year-old Lynsey Horne fell asleep on the railroad tracks and was not injured when a train passed over her."

If I were a drunk as a skunk and homeless, I would have the presence of mind to sleep on a park bench, a gutter, or a grate -- anywhere but on railroad tracks.

The slender sleeping beauty is fortunate she wasn`t killed or seriously hurt; when she sobers up I hope she will consider her brush with death a wake-up call, and enter rehab.

Horne was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
