551-Pound Man Wants House Arrest Sentence Reduced Because He Can't Leave Anyway

"A Florida man who weighs 551 pounds asked a judge to nullify the rest of his 30-month house arrest sentence because he can`t leave his home anyway.

Unfortunately for Steven Goodman, U.S. District Judge Kenneth Marra didn`t buy his argument.

Goodman has about seven months left of the 30-month sentence Marra gave him for supplying more than one million oxycodones to pain management clinics that distributed the pills illegally."

Goodman has only 12 months to live due to his heart problems and an incurable disease of the lymph system.

If Goodman had a shred of dignity he would kill himself, to save the courts the financial burden of hearing his appeals.

It would be poetic justice if Florida provided Goodman with a hundred oxycodone pills so he could take his own life.

I have no sympathy for a drug dealer, even if he is a ton of lard with only months to live.
