By Robert Paul Reyes

"A British grandmother asked hosts of a BBC radio program to help her identify a plant in her garden and discovered she was unwittingly cultivating cannabis.

Patricia Hewitson, 65, of Exmouth, England, said she emailed a photo of the plant to BBC Devon`s "The Potting Shed` radio show after being unable to identify the 5-foot-high plant, which she said had been giving off a strong odor. "

A British grandma emailed a photo of a mysterious plant that was growing in her backyard to BBC`s "The Potting Shed" radio show, after she was unable to identify the 5-foot-high plant.

I`m not surprised that a senior citizen listens to a gardening radio show, but I am a bit surprised that she knows how to take a digital photo and email it to the radio show.

You don`t have to be a botanist, a world-class gardener or a rocket scientist to immediately recognize the old lady`s plant as a marijuana plant.

Patricia Hewitson, 65, had even posted pics of her plant on Facebook, but none of her friends were able to identify it. This elderly lady is really digitally-savvy, she has an email account, and she`s on Facebook; I bet there are nude selfie pics on her cell phone.

Grandma was flabbergasted when radio host Sarah Chesters phoned her up live on air to say it was a cannabis plant -- and they had forwarded the photos to police. Narcing on a silver-haired granny, there is a special place in hell reserved for the BBC radio personality.

The police contacted the granny with the green thumb, and they reassured her they wouldn`t press charges as long as she immediately destroyed the magical plant.
