Setting Up Google Alerts

Setting Up Google Alerts

Happy New Year 2015! I wish you all a great year ahead. To start off the New Year on a positive note, let us learn how to set up a simple Google Alert. This is done by going to the following URL at Google: This will take you to the alerts page.

You will see alerts recommended by Google but you can also choose specific alerts that you can designate in the Search Box. Type in the title of the content for which you want an alert. In the sample screen shot I give here, the famous basketball team "Miami Heat" is the alert topic.

Also, beneath this selection are details regarding how frequently the alert is to be sent, the e-mail address to which the alert is to be sent, and more. Once all this is done, just click on the Blue Button at the bottom and you are good to go. Your alert(s) will arrive at your inbox according to the content and frequency and other criteria you have established with Google.

Again, Happy New Year 2015.
