Study: Your Cat Wants to Kill You!

"Cats show the same dominant, impulsive traits as the lions who want to eat you, researchers say. But cat owners aren`t fazed now that they know their cats are predatory murder machines lying in wait.


Your house cat might be a tiny, bloodthirsty lion, just waiting to feast on your meaty organs, researchers say. Cat owners say that`s fine.

A study by the University of Edinburgh compares domestic and wild cats, using the "Big Five` personality traits commonly used to describe humans. The house cats exhibited strong tendencies toward `dominance, impulsiveness, and neuroticism,` characteristics they share with African lions, the study revealed."

It`s not a news flash to cat owners that our furry friends are predators, we`ve all witnessed our pets stalk, pounce, and slowly kill insects, mice and other small critters.

Perhaps if cats were as big as lions they might kill us as effortlessly as they kill a mouse or a bird  -- but they`re small, and harmless to humans.

Although if my 25-pound cat, Tico, decided to sleep on my face when I was sleeping, he might smother me to death.

But Tico and my other kitty Ebony only smother me with love, they are so adorable that I`m tempted to squeeze and hug them to death.
