Rescue Group Pens Letter to the 'POS' Who Abandoned His Dog

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A California animal shelter is drawing attention for a viral Facebook post blasting the former owner of an abandoned dog as a callous POS.

The letter was posted to Facebook by Kings SPCA-Rescue in Lemoore along with a video of the abandoned dog wandering around a rural road and acting frightened of rescuers who called to it.

`Dear The Callous POS owner of this dog,` the post begins.

The post said the shelter received email reports of an abandoned dog at the side of the road Saturday, and the canine was still there when rescuers visited the location Monday."

An individual who dumps his dog by the side of a road is a piece of shi*, plain and simple, end of story.

The hapless pooch was stranded by the side of the road for almost a week before he was finally rescued. It took hours of talking to the animal and throwing him food before he would allow people to approach him.

The dog, named Banjo by his rescuers, is doing much better after several days of tender loving care at the animal shelter, and a few dog lovers have inquired about adopting him.

If you see a piece of shi* abusing his dog, do the right thing and report him to the authorities. Every dog deserves a loving forever home.
