"During CNN`s town hall for GOP presidential candidates, Trump defended campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who earlier in the day was charged with simple battery related to a March 8 incident with a reporter.
Trump said the then-Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields was holding a pen, which he suggested could have been something more nefarious.
`She went through the Secret Service, she had a pen in her hand, which Service Service is not liking because they don`t know what it is, whether it`s a little bomb,` Trump said.
`She had a pen in her hand,` he said. `It could`ve been a knife. It could`ve been just a pen, which is very dangerous."
A big bombastic blowhard cowering in fear before a female reporter, reminds me of an elephant bellowing in terror at the sight of a mouse.
Actually I can understand why a demagogue would be afraid of a reporter`s pen, after all the pen is mightier than the sword, and who knows what unflattering things a reporter might write about him.
If Trump quakes in fear before a reporter brandishing a pen, he might just wet his drawers when he faces off against Putin`s death stare.
We need to elect a presidential candidate who doesn`t fear the press, but in a spirit of disclosure and transparency welcomes all questions from journalists. We know that`s not Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, that`s leaves the only candidate with his dignity still intact in the race: Bernie Sanders!
