Homeless Dude Asking Cafe Owner for Money Gets Something Better: A Job
"It`s been about three weeks since a homeless man walked into a small cafe in Minneapolis looking for money. Now he`s a regular employee.
Cesia Abigail, owner of Abi`s Cafe, posted on Facebook that a homeless man strolled in one day asking for change.
Abigail asked why he didn`t work, and the man responded that he had several felonies on his record and therefore no one wanted to hire him.
So instead of turning him away, she gave him a job washing dishes for the day."
If you owned a cafe, and a dirty homeless person walked in begging for money, what would you do?
Call the police!
Tell him only paying customers are welcome in your business!
Give him a buck just to get rid off him!
I can understand all of the aforementioned responses, after all nothing kills the ambience at a restaurant quite like a homeless person who reeks of urine.
But Cesia Abigail, owner of Abi`s Cafe, treated the man like a human being, and asked him why he didn`t work, when he replied that nobody wanted to hire him because of his criminal record, she offered him a job.
Kudos to Abigail, we need to start treating the homeless as human beings.
