Hedgehog Cafe Opens in Japan: Video

"A business in Japan is capitalizing on the trend of animal cafes by providing patrons the opportunity to interact with hedgehogs.

The country`s first-ever hedgehog cafe `Harry` offers guests the opportunity to play with hedgehogs for a cost of $9 an hour on weekdays and $12 an hour on weekends."


It`s de rigueur for a cosmopolitan city to have at least a couple of cat cafes, although hedgehogs are popular pets in Japan, I don`t think hedgehog cafes will catch on in America.

It`s hard to think of a critter that looks like a pin cushion as a pet, you couldn`t pay me $90 an hour to play with hedgehogs.

To each his own I guess, but I`d rather pet a fluffy purring cat than a prickly hedgehog.
