St. Bernard Rescued From 30-Foot Well

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Maryland fire department said a St. Bernard dog was successfully rescued from the bottom of a 30-foot-deep well. The Harford County Fire Department posted photos to Facebook showing the dog at the bottom of the deep well in Perryman and rescuers using a harness and pulley system to lower a man to grab hold of the canine."

A St. Bernard is a very large working dog from the western Alps in Switzerland, originally bred for rescue. Throughout the ages St. Bernards have  rescued hundreds of people from the Alps.

But this time it was humans who came to the rescue of a St. Bernard trapped at the bottom of a 30-foot well. Kudos to the Harford County Fire Department for rescuing this adorable pooch.

The dog, Mabel, was reunited with her grateful owner, and she didn`t incur any injuries in her fall or rescue.
